Beirut, forever golden
I have been documenting street life in Lebanon, mostly Beirut, during my visits in 2019 and 2023. My memories might be romanticized or distorted, but I remember the light in Beirut to be golden. I have seen rainy days but somehow only remember the sunny ones. It may have something to do with the incredible warmth of the people and culture. It is one of the most beautiful and inspiring places I have been - its people so resilient and warm. It is heartbreaking to see it burdened by external aggression, and faced with continuous economic and political challenges.
Yet, in my memory, it will always be golden.
